Seaview Orthopaedics has a high standard of care when treating work- related injuries. We understand that work-related injuries can take a toll on health, family and finances and that a quick and safe return to work benefits everyone. Our compassion and expertise make us the natural choice for anyone involved in a workers’ compensation case.

We specialize in work related injuries and surgeries such as:

  • Trauma and Fracture Card
  • Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery
  • Spine Trauma and Surgery
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Foot and Ankle Injuries
  • Arthromscopic Surgery
  • Pain Management
  • Herniated Disc

At our convenient, state-of-the-art facilities in Ocean, Brick and Freehold our team of specialists take an integrated approach to the evaluation and treatment of workers’ compensation cases.

As orthopaedic surgeons treating an injured worker, we are asked to evaluate the causality and document our opinion as to the relationship between the patient’s presenting symptoms and whether the reported work accident caused the resulting injury. A good history is critical, along with guided questioning about the presenting injury. The patient’s answers to “what happened”, “what were you doing when you were injured”, and “describe what it felt like”, all help to determine the mechanism of injury.

Seaview Orthopaedics has added office hours, staff and priority handling of Workers’ Compensation injuries. Priority handling includes dedicated appointment scheduling, phone numbers, and email.

Our workers' compensation includes:

  • Appointments within 24 hours
  • Same-day custom Quick Notes, with a follow-up detailed office note within 24-48 hours of the visit
  • A dedicated Workers’ Compensation Coordinator who communicates with patients, case managers, referring physicians, insurance adjusters and employers

As orthopaedic surgeons treating an injured worker, we are asked to evaluate causality and document our opinion as to the relationship between the patient’s presenting symptoms and whether the reported work accident caused the resulting injury. A good history is critical, along with guided questioning about the presenting injury. The patient’s answers to “what happened”, “what were you doing when you were injured”, and “describe what it felt like”, all help to determine the mechanism of injury.

At each and every orthopaedic examination and evaluation, the physician is obligated to:

  •  Obtain a good history stressing the mechanism of injury
  •  Determine the working diagnosis with clinical exam
  •  Review X-Ray and other studies
  •  Render an opinion regarding causality
  •  Determine the work restriction, if any
  •  Work with the case manager and the injured worker to return to work as soon as possible.
  •  Arrange to send our typed, custom Quick Note that day (with a follow-up detailed office note within 24-48 hours of the visit)
