Dr. Nguyen is a fellowship trained Spine Surgeon having completed his training at the San Diego Center for Spinal Disorders in San Diego, CA. Dr. Nguyen is originally from the Philadelphia area having attended medical school at Temple University School of Medicine and completing his orthopaedic residency at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

Dr. Nguyen specializes in the treatment of spinal disorders including scoliosis, degenerative spinal diseases, and spine trauma. He is certified in the newest spinal procedures and techniques including Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery, Artificial Disc Replacement (Chante Certification), and Kyphoplasty/Vertebroplasty certification.
