Dr. Berkowitz then trained in orthopaedics at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and has devoted his professional practice to shoulder problems as well as general orthopaedics. He is deeply involved in many professional and academic activities statewide including the Board of Directors/Past President of the Orthopaedic Surgeons of New Jersey/New Jersey Orthopaedic Society and the Board of Trustees of the Medical Society of New Jersey. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Berkowitz also is a Certified Medical Examiner and performs independent medical evaluations.
